How to Store and Reheat It
- Because of the cream cheese frosting, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and eat them within 3–4 days.
- To serve it warm like Crumbl, microwave it for about 10 seconds. Any longer and the frosting starts to melt.
- To freeze, chill it until the frosting is firm, wrap it tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw it in the fridge, then warm it briefly.

Crumbl Halloween Red Velvet Cookie Recipe (Copycat)
Crumbl doesn’t share its recipe, but this version makes big, soft red velvet cookies close to the original. It makes about 8 large cookies.
Ingredients
- ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150 g) light brown sugar
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red gel food coloring
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (10 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- Frosting: 4 oz (113 g) cream cheese and ¼ cup (57 g) unsalted butter, both softened
- Frosting: 2 cups (240 g) powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Drizzle: ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar, 2–3 tsp milk and a little red gel food coloring
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment.
- Beat the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the egg, milk, vanilla and food coloring.
- Mix in the flour, cocoa, cornstarch, baking soda and salt until just combined.
- Scoop large balls of dough, about ⅓ cup each, and space them well apart. Flatten each ball slightly.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers still look soft. Let the cookies cool completely.
- Beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth, then swirl a thick layer onto each cookie.
- Stir the drizzle ingredients into a thick red glaze and zigzag it over the frosting.
Tip: Crumbl serves this cookie warm. Warm a frosted cookie for about 10 seconds so the frosting stays in place.
